American Legion Travel now has a web presence on Technorati, the premiere “Web 2.0″ network of web logs (blogs). This new connection allows members to further share and keep up with member news, events and promotions. It also lets members distribute lists of internet “favorites” among their peers.

To date, Technorati is tracking over 110 million blogs and over 250 million pieces of tagged social media. According to Technorati data, there are over 175,000 new blogs (that’s just blogs) every day. Bloggers update their blogs regularly to the tune of over 1.6 million posts per day, or over 18 updates a second.

In today’s web, everything is dynamic. Quality content changes on a whim. Whether content is personal, corporate or both, Technorati enables users to “search, surface, and organize blogs and the other forms of independent, user-generated content.”

Site managers and bloggers frequently link to and comment on other blogs, creating a connection or “network”. Technorati safely and securely tracks these links, and thus the relative relevance of blogs, photos, videos etc., indexing tens of thousands of updates every hour.
